Welcome to Vernonia!
Located in Columbia County, just outside of the Tualatin Valley is the city of Vernonia, the terminus of the Banks-Vernonia State Trail. Nestled in the Oregon Coast Range on the Nehalem River, Vernonia is an historic town with deep roots in the logging industry.
Just three blocks north on Adams Avenue is downtown Vernonia, where you will find a market, brew pubs and restaurants, and shopping. Downtown Vernonia has plenty to offer cyclists with restrooms and bike fix-it stations. Grab a bit, a brew and explore the quaint and welcoming downtown area.
While exploring the region, look for the "Tualatin Valley Bike Hub" signs, to help you navigate the region and experience the scenic, natural and cultural highlights of the valley. The Bike Hubs where created in partnership with the Washington County Visitors Association, local communities and land managers.
